Our Philosophy

Institutionem  Mentis  Spiritus  Corpus

The basic philosophy of the school can perhaps be best described in these words:

True education means more than the pursual of a certain course of study.  It means more than a preparation for the life that now is.  It has to do with the whole being, and with the whole period of existence possible to man. It is the harmonious development of the physical, the mental, and the spiritual powers.  It prepares the student for the Joy of service in the world and for the higher joy of wider Service in the world to come.
E.G. White, Education, p. 13.

One of Hiroshima Saniku Gakuin's philosophical assumptions is that every human being is endowed with power to think and to do. The school's aim is therefore to emphasize learning and help its students reach the highest intellectual level, to enable them to think critically and serve the communities of which they will ultimately become a part.
